What to expect

Visit ARTIS Zoo, one of the five oldest zoo's in the world. Something special happened this winter: Two elephant calves were born! Imagine yourself in Madagascar at the renovated Kerbertterras (former lion enclosure) and admire how the ring-tailed lemurs, red ruffed lemurs, and Madagascar radiated tortoises live together here. Stroll through the historic city park, admire the monumental buildings and explore the botanical garden, and take a relaxing break at one of the vegetarian restaurants.
